Gimme Shelter!

Most local football fans remember Lavell Edwards’ observation that he’d rather lose and live in Provo than win and live in Laramie.
Apparently Ute quarterback Brian Johnson feels somewhat similarly. After Utah’s rout of Wyoming, last Saturday, I asked him where he rated Wyoming on his list of favorite road trips.
“Near the bottom,” he said with a laugh. “Especially offensive football and the way the wind was blowing. It almost blew me over on that last extra point.”
Johnson reiterated what has been said by many teams over many years: Not pleasant, but they got out of there with a win.
That’s about the best you can hope for on the HIgh Plains.
