Ex-BYU star is Warner fan

If Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner leads the Cardinals to a Super Bowl win, Sunday, he should be a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame.
That’s according to Chad Lewis, a former teammate of Warner’s.
Lewis, an ex-Rams and Eagles tight end, played with Warner during the 1999 season. Though Lewis was released in the ninth week by the Rams, he gained big respect Warner.
Now Warner is on the verge of another championship.
“I told (NFL commissioner) Roger Goodell that if Kurt Warner wins, he would definitely be a guy for the Hall of Fame,” said Lewis. “He took two of the worst teams to the Super Bowl.”
He pointed out that the Rams were 4-12 the previous year and “the Cardinals have been horrible for a long time.”
Lewis, who played at BYU, went on to say Warner has been “very vocal” about teammates representing themselves and their fans in a dignified and honorable manner.
“For someone like that to get them to the Super Bowl is great,” said Lewis.
