Short Stay for Natt
Looks like former Jazz assistant coach Kenny Natt’s head-coaching debut was a short one.
The Sacramento Bee is reporting today that ther Kings’ interim head coach won’t be retained. Reports say he’ll be informed by week’s end.
Natt was a well-liked member of the Jazz coaching staff for nine years, including the team’s ’97 and ’98 NBA Finals years. He also spent three years with Cleveland, where he helped the Cavs get to the 2007 NBA Finals.
He was working as an assistant with the Kings when he was elevated to interim head coach last December.
Sacramento finished the regular season with the worst record in the NBA.

Former Jazz guard Jeff Hornacek was in L.A. this week, helping out the Jazz with their shooting.
Which is something they needed after Game 1, in which they shot an abysmal 39 percent. They improved to a respectable 49 percent in Game 2. Trouble was, they allowed Los Angeles to shoot 60 percent.

If you think the Jazz coaching staff spends 100 percent of its time preparing for games, you’re wrong.
Not that the coaches sit around eating pineapple. Still, Jerry Sloan went for a walk the day before Game 2, near the hotel where the team stays. He walks for exercise most days.
Another Jazz staffer got a chance to ride a bike to Venice Beach.
Jazz players are free to do whatever they want when they’re not practicing or at games.
