R-E-S-P-E-C-T…OR NOT
The 2009 “All-Undrafted Team” is out and the the Beehive State is all over it.
The actual NBA Draft?
Not so much. In fact, not at all.
Nobody from a Utah school made the cut in last week’s NBA Draft. But Steve Lavin’s All-Undrafted team has Luke Nevill (Utah) on the second team, Lee Cummard (BYU) on the third team and Gary Wilkinson (USU) honorable mention.
While being on Lavin’s list is nothing to sneeze at, you have to wonder who didn’t make his team. He has 15 players on the first three teams, plus 52 honorable mention selections. That’s a total of 67 disrespected players on his list.
If you’re looking at Lavin’s choices, the most disrespected program in the country must be Gonzaga, which has three players on the charts: Josh Heytvelt (first team), Jeremy Pargo (second team) and Micah Downs (honorable mention).

Were Nevill, Cummard and Wilkinson disrespected? Or do the schools in Utah produce only Euro league prospects?
