Another preseason football poll is out and, as expected, a couple of Mountain West teams are ranked – near the bottom.
More surprising is where Boise State is ranked.
In the Sports Illustrated poll, the Broncos are rated 9th — above Ohio State, above Oregon, above Louisiana State.
TCU is rated 17th and Utah 19th.
I understand the Broncos getting ranked. They always have a shot at winning all their games, as long as they’re in the WAC. But starting ninth seems a tad high.
They’re sure getting a lot of run for losing to TCU in the Poinsettia Bowl.
