DeShawn and Honest Abe

Drafted as a teenager, DeShawn Stevenson was one of the Jazz’s early forays into the unknown.

He was still in high school. On graduation night he got into a scuffle that ended up with police being called.

During his first season in Utah, he was suspended three games without pay by the NBA after pleading no contest to having sex with a minor.

He also had his problems with Jerry Sloan. The main one was during the playoffs in 2003, when he was suspended for a game following a verbal altercation with Sloan at a practice.

These days, Stevenson, a member of the Washington Wizards, is making news, but not bad news. In fact, he seems to have become downright patriotic. He showed up at the Wizards’ media day with these additions to his body art:

So, shouldn’t everyone have a president tattooed on his neck?

Personally, I’m thinking of going with Chester Arthur, but that’s just me.
