In that case, what is Clint Eastwood doing on a soccer field?
Eastwood was a guest of Lyon in its match against Sochaux, last week. The rangy actor was in town for the Lyon Film Festival to receive an award. Somehow he let himself get talked into administering the ceremonial kickoff.
Let’s just say it wasn’t as smooth as his delivery in “Gran Torino.”
I figure there should be a rule that goes something like this: Ronaldo should never play a tough-guy San Francisco cop in a movie, and Eastwood should never step on a soccer field.
On the other hand, it did make my day.
