Here's Lookin' at You, Bogut
It won’t make him feel much better, but Andrew Bogut is up for an award.
The ex-Ute, now playing for the Bucks, is up for the Magic Johnson Good Guy Award, presented by the Professional Basketball Writers Association. Other finalists are Toronto’s Chris Bosch, San Antonio’s Manu Ginobili and L.A.’s Lamar Odom.
I haven’t interviewed Bosch, but I have the others, and they seem like great choices. The award goes to players who actually treat media and fans the way everyone wants to be treated — with good will and respect.
I always found Bogut to be pleasant and accommodating — though it took me almost until he left college to catch the cadences of his Aussie accent.
Bogut, as you know, took a terrible fall in a recent game and ended up injuring his wrist, arm, hand and elbow.

He’s likely out for the season.
I know this isn’t normal protocol for journalists, but here’s a get well soon wish, mainly because he’s one of the good guys.
