Ronnie Price a U. fan
It’s no secret Jazz guard Ronnie Price is a college football fan.
At least it’s no secret to the media. He was on the sidelines in 2008 when Utah beat Michigan at the Big House.
Asked Monday what he thought about BYU and Utah leaving the Mountain West, this summer, Price called himself “a sports junkie” and said he followed the news.
“There are two sides to everything, but honestly, I’m not a big BYU fan at all,” said the former Utah Valley University star. “But I’m a Utah fan just because a lot of Texas boys are on the team — Jereme Brooks is a friend of mine.
“I root for the guys I know, and I don’t know anybody on the BYU team, so I think the things they (the Utes) did in the off season, they did a good job.”

Jazz G.M. Kevin O’Connor was asked Monday about a leap Deron Williams took off a small cliff into the water at Sand Hollow State park on Labor Day weekend.
“I gave him an eight,” he said. “Can you imagine all of the things that those guys do in the off season, not just Deron — some of the stuff they do. If you sit there and worry about all that stuff, you’ll go crazy. But I will say this: It wasn’t a 60-foot dive, it wasn’t all that stuff. But would I not want to see him do it? Sure.”
