Utes to low temps: Is that all you got?
The weather outside was frightful, but the attitude was so delightful.
OK, I’m not a lyricist.
I don’t know if this means anything, but the Utes seem to be having fun. Thursday at practice for the Las Vegas Bowl, temperatures were frigid. The Utes? Half of them were wearing shorts and loving it. Near the end of practice, they were yelling, laughing and generally woo-hooing.
Having fun? In this weather?
“Oh, yeah,” said offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom. “We genuinely love practice. You can’t really say that about a lot of teams. I mean, most teams I’ve been on, practice is a grind; something you have to do for the game. But I think everybody comes out here excited to play every day.”
Indeed, if there is a chance of the Utes winning against Boise State, it is in the way they approach bowl games. They now hold a nine-game bowl win streak.
