BYU-Vegas love/hate; Aggie logo change?
Outside the Wasatch Front, no large city in the country is more divided on BYU than Las Vegas.
I once did a column on BYU’s “home field” advantage at Sam Boyd Stadium.
It makes for an interesting dynamic. Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Ron Kantowski pointed that out this week when he talked about missing the way fans on both sides would get fired up for the BYU-UNLV game. He went on to say he hoped the Cougars would schedule UNLV in the future.
That could happen. As BYU struggles to fill its late season schedules, playing old conference opponents seems to be a good idea for both sides. BYU needs the opponents and the UNLVs of the world need the revenue and exposure.

DUE FOR A MAKEOVER?
Word coming from up Logan way is that Utah State is planning on a logo change/addition of its own.
There has been much discussion about the possibility of Utah changing its circle-and-feather logo (it isn’t happening, for now). A source told me USU is considering an update, too. Which logo it would change, if any, is unclear.
Still, my source says that will happen sometime this year.
